1. The longitudinal tear in the middle of the steel belt is 14-15 meters, how to repair it? 

The upper and lower covering glue of the damaged part can be peeled off (the length exceeds the damaged part by 50-100mm, and the width exceeds the damaged part by 30-50mm), and at the same time, take a piece of rubber with the same size as the peeled part (preferably with a layer of cloth), and then It can be repaired according to the cold glue method. 

2. Comparison of EP high temperature resistant belt and cotton canvas high temperature resistant belt: 

a. The same point: the surface covering glue is the same. 

b. Differences: cotton canvas can withstand a maximum temperature of 150 degree ; EP-TNG canvas can be used for a long time at 200 degree , and can be used at a maximum of 220 degree ; 

The strength of cotton canvas is relatively low, only 50N/mm; while the strength of EP-TNG canvas is relatively high, and the commonly used type 200 is 200N/mm; 

The adhesion of the cotton canvas high temperature resistant belt is relatively low, and the adhesion of the EP high temperature resistant belt is relatively high; the service life of the EP high temperature resistant belt is obviously longer than that of the cotton canvas high temperature resistant belt.

3. Hot glue stripping method (is it good to remove the glue at one end)? 

This is another method of gluing, this method is also possible, but if you use this method, pay attention to the following points:

a. Be sure to use sealing glue; 

b. The parts where the edge rubber parts meet must be connected by vulcanized rubber; 

c. The parts where the rubber is connected must be polished 

The disadvantage is that the edge glue part is easily damaged if it is not handled properly. 

4. The joint temperature reaches 120 degree , but does not reach the normal vulcanization temperature? 

no. The normal vulcanization and crosslinking temperature of rubber is determined by the vulcanizing agent and accelerator in the rubber. In order to ensure the safety of rubber processing, the general manufacturer will not set the vulcanization starting temperature of the rubber used in the conveyor belt to be very low. Therefore, when the temperature reaches 120 degree , the rubber will not enter the normal vulcanization state. Therefore, at 120 degree , the quality of the conveyor belt joint will be greatly affected. 

Usually, when the vulcanization temperature is higher than the critical vulcanization temperature of the accelerator and vulcanizing agent and cannot reach the normal vulcanization temperature, the method of prolonging the vulcanization time can be adopted to make the vulcanization of the rubber meet the requirements. Generally, every time the temperature is lower than 10 degree , the vulcanization time is prolonged by 2-4 times. Of course, for performance reasons, we do not recommend the use of low-temperature and long-term vulcanization.

5. Can core rubbers from different manufacturers be mixed? 

It is not recommended to mix core rubber from different manufacturers because the formula of core rubber from different manufacturers is different. There are many kinds of compounding agents in rubber, and some of them have interactive reactions. In the formula of the same manufacturer, there will be no compounding agents with adverse interactive reactions, but the formulas of different manufacturers are very different. When used, there may be interactive reflections of compounding agents, which will affect the use effect of core rubber.
